The ship is assumed to be Roman and, when it sank just off the coast of the island in the middle of the 1st century BCE, carried a huge number of artifacts dating back to as early as the 4th century BCE. In , Greek sponge divers found the shipwreck, which was submerged nearly feet, while wearing gear that was standard for the early 20th century—canvas suits and copper helmets. Although that diver was actually fine, later exploration in the summer of caused the death of one diver and the paralysis of two more from decompression sickness or “the bends. More recent research, though, suggests that the ship may have been en route to Rome from Turkey. Who is the service for? Antenatal care is for pregnant women. When a pregnant woman is asked to attend an antenatal clinic at a hospital, it is usually for routine examinations, tests and an ultrasound scan, which helps to make sure both the woman and her baby are healthy, as well as providing an estimated date for the birth. Hospital appointments often last an hour or less, but some may last a full day or require an overnight stay.
Pregnant women are referred into the service by their midwife or GP. What does the service provide? Antenatal care monitors the health of pregnant women throughout their pregnancy, checking on the development of their baby and making preparations for the birth. If you are pregnant then you are likely to be cared for by a midwife, who may arrange to meet you for the first time at a local clinic or a nearby hospital.
An ultrasound scan is undertaken by staff specially trained in using ultrasound equipment. When is the service available? Routine antenatal appointments and scans are available Monday to Friday, between 8am and 5.
History of Nottinghamshire Nottinghamshire lies on the Roman Fosse Way , and there are Roman settlements in the county; for example at Mansfield , and forts such as at the Broxtowe Estate in Bilborough. The county was settled by Angles around the 5th century, and became part of the Kingdom, and later Earldom, of Mercia. The name first occurs in , but until , the county was administratively united with Derbyshire, under a single Sheriff.
In Norman times, the county developed malting and woollen industries. During the industrial revolution , the county held much needed minerals such as coal and iron ore , and had constructed some of the first experimental waggonways in the world; an example of this is the Wollaton wagonway of , which transported minerals from bell pitt mining areas at Strelley and Bilborough , this led to canals and railways being constructed in the county, and the lace and cotton industries grew.
In the 18th and 19th centuries, mechanised deeper collieries opened, and mining became an important economic sector, though these declined after the —85 miners’ strike. Until , Nottinghamshire was divided into eight Wapentakes. Sometime between and , they were reduced to six — Newark , Bassetlaw , Thurgarton , Rushcliffe , Broxtowe , and Bingham , some of these names still being used for the modern districts.
Oswaldbeck was absorbed in Bassetlaw, of which it forms the North Clay division, and Lythe in Thurgarton.

Unfortunately, due to the lack of public access to private prison contracts, most of the details are unknown. Shortly before her death, the woman reported that she had been raped and assaulted by male inmates who were housed in the same cell block. She also reported being sexually humiliated by a GEO guard after reporting to the warden that guards allowed male and female inmates to have sex.
A state audit showed that the jail barely kept the minimum number of guards required in the contract. Successive California governors have taken thousands from private prison corporations. Their lobbying operation, however, is much bigger than giving money to a couple of Golden State governors. Medical staff have been found to be poorly trained and under-employed, sometimes dishing out wrong or different prescriptions to inmates. At some private facilities , those women are herded like cattle and forced to give birth in chains.
In one case at a CCA prison in Dallas, a four-day-old child died after her mother gave birth to her in a toilet because officials at the private prison refused her medical care. Their incarceration represents a perpetuation of that violence on both sides of the prison walls. Does the mistrust in law and order and simmering resentment promulgated by these policies not put communities at risk as well? The women behind the open letter know that a new private prison for women is just about the furthest thing from what the state needs to be doing right now to address its addiction to mass incarceration.
